General
TS1100-Ex Gas detectors are usually installed in a combination of 1 versus 1 with a channel control unit.
Generally, this gas detector is installed in hazardous areas and the channel control unit is in non hazardous areas.
Three core shielded cable is used for the wiring connection between the detector and the channel control unit.
When the detector is used outdoors, the rain cover is necessary.
Principle of Detection
The operation of TS-1100Ex detector is based on the detection principle of catalytic combustion.
And the values of LEL concentration are almost the same , except in a few cases.
As a detection principle of a combustible gas detector used for prevention of explosions, a method to measure the calorific value of combustion is the most suitable.
Combustible gas is introduced to the sensor preheated to an appropriate temperature to bring about its catalytic combustion, and the changes in electric resistance of the platinum due to the generated heat of combustion are directed by the wheatstone bridge.
This electric output is directly proportional to the concentration of combustible gas in the air.
